University Final Projects
Dissertation
Graduating from Leeds Beckett University with a First-Class Honours in Fashion Marketing, Georgia's chosen research topic was, “Is it still possible to tell which social class an individual is from by their clothing choices? A mixed methods approach to fashion's indication of social standings.” Exploring three key components, how fashion arose as a form of class differentiation, how accessibility to the working class has changed leaving little need to emulate the upper class and exploring the pre-conditioned notions of class vs identity in fashion.
Fashion Writing FMP
Georgia chose to create a sister publication of Glamour to represent the UK teen market, an overlooked niche audience & explore the issues around current & past teen magazines including gender stereotyping. While she was required to create a publication, Georgia felt it was important to explore this digitally bringing together, 14 thousands words, 2 photoshoots, 4 interviews, countless expert quotes & 12 weeks of research & creating her own website from scratch with SEO considerations. Achieving a First-Class Honours her work was selected to be presented in the degree show.
